by Eric Owens
People who love the Lord should be happy, sadly most are not. The reason for this is there is no distinction in the lives of those who profess a belief in God and those who profess no belief. If what the Bible says about God is true His children ought to be happy and those who oppose Him should not be happy. The leading cause for sadness among believers is prosperity preaching. In this book I will help you understand what has gone wrong with modern religion, and how we can reclaim the happiness God offers in Christ. Happiness is not the avoidance of pain, it is not the reception of gifts, it is not avoiding all trouble, it is the state of being of those in Christ. Properly understood God makes us happy.
What Readers Are Saying
“This book is a must read for all Christians. As Christians, we should be happy, even though its hard sometimes. Unlike those in the world, we have a hope of an eternal life with God in Heaven. With that being said, there should be no unhappy Christians! Eric Owens reminds us the keys to being happy. Without spoiling it for you, life happens, but we as Christians, deal with it, and move on. He also reminds us that God is Good, or rather God is Great, no matter what, His character never changes. And he uses a unique way of showing that we are God’s special people, His special project. The book is very well written and easy to read….the man can write!” – Kim
“I spent chapters 10 and 11 (a chapter on heaven) laughing out loud, not because they are humorous, but because they are so humbling and incredible. I closed the book with a sense of peace and contentment. Brother Owens makes it plain that “time and chance happen to us all” (cf. Ecclesiastes 9:11), sometimes bad things happen to good people. If our happiness is based on things always going our way, or the way we think things are “supposed” to happen, then we will surely be disappointed, and certainly be unhappy. The only thing constant, unchanging, and the only One who constantly seeks our good is God, and He must be our happiness. So, do you want to be happy? Take this message, which is God’s message, as presented by His servant brother Owens, and hide it away in your heart. Buy it. Read it. Pass it on.” – Matthew
